Chasing Cool Breezes: From Savannah to the Outer Banks

As our journey continues, a subtle chill in the air heralds the onset of cooler temperatures. From the historic charm of Savannah, Georgia, to the lively shores of Myrtle Beach, and the serene beauty of the Outer Banks, each stop brings its own unique flavor. Our first taste of cooler weather greeted us in Savannah, where a lakeside site provided a peaceful retreat. The serenity of Savannah set the tone for a relaxing week.

Myrtle Beach unfolded with exploration and southern hospitality. Arriving on Thanksgiving, we ventured into new traditions, opting for a surprisingly delicious Thanksgiving dinner at Cracker Barrel – a packed but delightful experience. Meeting up with one of Henry's friends, we immersed ourselves in true southern experiences. A visit to a friend's canal-side home treated us to a festive Santa boat parade, adding a touch of holiday magic to our coastal adventure.

Heading up to the Outer Banks, the anticipation of returning in the summer already lingered in our minds. Our site on the beach provided a front-row seat to nature's wonders, and listening to the waves by our campfire created a serene atmosphere, making the colder temperatures surprisingly enjoyable.
