Grand Junction: The Final Stop in Colorado
Our journey through Colorado has brought us to our final destination in the state: Grand Junction. This stop was a bit shorter than the others, but it offered relaxation that we thoroughly enjoyed.
A Week of Work and Heat
Henry went back to New Hampshire to visit Mama Welkes and my parents while I settled in for a week of work. The weather in Grand Junction was sweltering, with temperatures averaging around 100 degrees every day. The intense heat meant that the babies and I spent most of our time indoors, enjoying the comfort of air conditioning while I tackled my work tasks. Despite the heat, the week was productive and relatively peaceful.
Exploring the Wineries
One of the highlights of our stay was taking some time to explore the local wineries. Grand Junction is known for its incredible vineyards and wine production, and we couldn’t miss the chance to experience this aspect of the area.
A Virtual Graduation in Milford, CT
In the midst of our time in Grand Junction, I had the wonderful opportunity to virtually attend my baby cousin's high school graduation in Milford, CT. Thanks to the incredible technology we have today, I watched the ceremony from miles away. It was a nostalgic moment for me, as I was a freshman in high school when she was born. Witnessing her graduate brought back many memories and filled me with joy.
On to Utah!
As we pack up and prepare to leave Grand Junction, excitement builds for our next adventure. We are heading to Utah, a new state to add to our travel map! A day delayed due to Henry’s travels back from Boston with cancelled flights and missed connections!
Stay tuned for updates from Utah as we continue our journey westward. There's so much more to discover, and we can't wait to share it all with you!
