July 28th - A Day to Remember: Picture this; The open road stretched out before us, our furry companions by our side, and the promise of new horizons calling our names. On July 28th, we picked up our new home in Lansing, Michigan, ready to embark on an unforgettable journey that would redefine our sense of home and freedom.
From Michigan to New Hampshire: With the RV packed and the dogs getting settled in, we hit the road, making our way back to New Hampshire. The scenic route took us through captivating landscapes, picturesque pitstops, and a myriad of unexpected adventures. From Streetsboro, OH, to the awe-inspiring Niagara Falls, NY, and the charming town of Cooperstown, NY, each destination added its own chapter to our travelogue.
A Week of Firsts: As with any new endeavor, the first week wasn't without its share of challenges. A broken stabilizer, a few shelves deciding to take an unexpected tumble, and infamous dog leash nightmares – our journey kicked off with a series of mishaps. Yet, every hiccup only added to the richness of our experience, turning each obstacle into a memorable story.
August 18th - 20th - The Great Purge: Fast forward to the weekend of August 18th-20th, where we hosted a monumental estate sale, bidding farewell to all our possessions. It was undoubtedly an emotional weekend, filled with nostalgia and farewells to the life we once knew. But as they say, every end marks a new beginning, and this marked the culmination of one chapter as we prepared to embrace the open road fully.
After tying up loose ends in New Hampshire and bidding heartfelt goodbyes, we officially hit the road on August 23rd, 2023. The sense of liberation and excitement was palpable as we ventured into the unknown, armed with the lessons of the first week and the anticipation of countless adventures waiting to unfold.
